QC Engineer

Job Description

A QC Engineer responsible for managing project QA/QC documentation, supporting quality teams in Dubai and Dammam manufacturing sites, and coordinating or conducting vendor inspections (including working with third-party inspection agencies).

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform second party audit of vendors and sub-contractors.
  • Work as inspection co-ordinator between our vendor and TPI agencies for source inspections.
  • Perform vendor inspections.
  • Review and understand Project QA/QC requirements from applicable project specifications or international codes.
  • Responsible for preparing QA/QC documents like ITP, WPS & Other Testing procedures required for projects.
  • Responsible for review and approval of vendor’s ITP and other quality procedures.
  • Responsible for review of Material certifications / MRB to ensure material compliance to code and P.O requirements.

Education & Training

Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with 2-3 years or Diploma in mechanical Engineering with 5-6 years’ experience.

Skills & Abilities

  • Basic Knowledge on ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Work experience as internal auditors / second party audit (Preferable).
  • Work experience as inspection co-ordinator.
  • Knowledge on ASME , ASTM ,BS , BSEN and API standards for material requirements.
  • Hands on experience in measuring instruments.
  • Experience in vendor inspection / receiving inspection for major materials such as Pipes, fittings, flanges, Valves, rotating equipment etc.
  • Experience in performing shop inspections such as fit up, welding & painting etc.
  • Knowledge and experience in working with Major Oil & Gas Company specifications are added advantage.
  • Experience in Preparation and review of Quality plans and test procedures.
  • Knowledge of reading and understanding fabrication drawings.
  • Ability to read and understand international standards.
  • Experience in SAP QM module is added advantage.

  • ASNT Level - II (MT, PT, RT).
  • Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD.
