Flushing Ring

Flushing rings are metal donut-shaped rings used between diaphragm seals and the customer’s process connections. The ring has required connection ports which shall be used to flush the surface of the diaphragm during periodic cleaning in order to prevent clogging.

Features

  • Two flushing ports provided to wash out of particles accumulated on the instrument connection surface
  • Machined from Bar Stock Material
  • NPT Tapping & threading will be done by CNC process only; Surface finish will be maintained at 3.2Ra
  • It suits for ASME B16.5 / DIN RF flanges. Other types on request.

FAQ

A flushing ring is installed in a “sandwich” arrangement:
Process flange → Flushing Ring → Diaphragm Seal → Pressure Transmitter

It is positioned exactly at the diaphragm interface so the flushing fluid reaches the diaphragm surface and process connection cavity directly.

Flushing ports are used to:

  • remove trapped particles and sludge
  • clean the diaphragm surface periodically
  • prevent clogging at the instrument connection face
  • maintain stable pressure readings
  • reduce calibration drift caused by buildup

Petronash flushing rings typically provide two flushing ports for effective cleaning.

Two flushing ports allow:

  • effective washing and draining from opposite ends
  • better removal of solids from dead zones
  • improved diaphragm cleaning efficiency

This design is highly recommended for slurry, viscous, or dirty service media.

Flushing rings are commonly used in:

  • chemical plants
  • refineries and petrochemical industries
  • fertilizer plants
  • power plants
  • mining slurry applications
  • water and wastewater treatment
  • food and pharmaceutical (based on materials)

They are especially useful wherever media tends to clog diaphragm seals.

Petronash flushing rings suit:
ASME B16.5 RF flanges
DIN RF flanges
Other flange types can also be provided on request depending on customer and project requirements.

Petronash flushing rings are available in common flange sizes:
1”, 2”, 3”, 4” and 6”

This range covers most standard diaphragm seal and process connection requirements.

Petronash flushing rings are offered with pressure ratings:
150# to 2500#

This makes them suitable for both low-pressure utilities and high-pressure oil & gas applications.

Petronash offers a wide material range for corrosion and temperature resistance, including:

  • SS316L
  • Hastelloy
  • Inconel
  • Monel
  • Titanium
  • other materials on request

Material selection depends on process fluid type, corrosion severity, and project requirements.

Petronash flushing rings are available with:
Smooth Finish
Serrated Finish

Selection depends on gasket type, flange face condition, and sealing requirements (especially in high-pressure applications).

Petronash flushing rings can be supplied as:

  • Sandwiched type
  • Flanged type (FF, RF & RTJ)

This flexibility helps integration with different piping standards and diaphragm seal assemblies.

Petronash can supply flushing rings with optional accessories such as:

  • Plugs: ½” NPTM or ¼” NPTM
  • Connecting nipples: ½” NPTM or ¼” NPTM
  • Isolation valves: ½” NPTM or ¼” NPTM

These accessories simplify onsite installation and make periodic flushing safer and easier.

Petronash flushing rings are built for performance and reliability, offering:

  • CNC threaded NPT tapping for high precision
  • controlled surface finish of 3.2 Ra
  • two flushing ports for better cleaning efficiency
  • wide pressure rating up to 2500#
  • multiple exotic alloy options for corrosion resistance

This ensures long-term, stable instrumentation performance.

Yes. Petronash can customize flushing rings based on:

  • required material (SS316L, Hastelloy, Inconel, etc.)
  • flushing port size and tapping
  • flange standard (ASME, DIN, etc.)
  • end connection type (RF/RTJ/FF)
  • smooth or serrated finishing

This ensures perfect compatibility with customer diaphragm seal assemblies and process conditions.

Absolutely. Petronash supplies flushing rings for:

  • EPC and project-based instrumentation requirements
  • replacement and retrofit installations
  • skid packages and process plants

We can also support documentation needs for projects based on customer requirements.
