Introduction

Tree planting as a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity has significant environmental impacts, including carbon sequestration to combat climate change, improved air quality through Co2 absorption, enhanced biodiversity, and reduced soil erosion. For companies, these initiatives build a positive brand image, foster employee engagement and team-building, and contribute to long-term community well-being and overall sustainability goals. 

Brief Description of the Project

The Tree Plantation drive was carried out through Bhumi using the Miyawaki method, an approach that involves planting a dense mix of native species in a small area. This method promotes faster
growth, greater biodiversity, and the creation of self-sustaining green spaces.

This activity was conducted in Government Higher Secondary School, West Mambalam, Chennai.

As part of this initiative, 100 plants in Miyawaki method.
